A New Year Message to All Aikido Practitioners in Kyoto
As we welcome the New Year, there is an ancient poem from the *Manyoshu*
that speaks of early-spring snow bringing layers of good fortune.
It expresses a wish for blessings to accumulate gently, one after another.
In the same spirit, let us continue our Aikido practice step by step,
building our skills with care and gratitude.
Here is the training schedule for January 2026.
✅ For the full monthly schedule, please check our calendar.
Our first training session of 2026 will be held on Thursday, January 8.
Please note that there will be no practice on January 8 due to the facility reason and January 12 due to the national holiday (Coming-of-Age Day).
Other than that, regular practice will be held every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at the Kyoto Budo Center, under the instruction of Sensei Yoshida and Sensei Kadokawa.
✅ Aikido Introductory Course
Starting January 17, the Kyoto Aikido Federation will host an “Introductory Aikido Course” on four consecutive Saturdays. This course will take place alongside our regular training. Many participants will be complete beginners, so we kindly ask for your support and understanding.
